Christmas Vacation Fun

We had a fun and relaxing Christmas vacation this year. On Dec. 15th we hit the airport for our ride to Houston and some warmer weather. Shortly after we got there we got to enjoy seeing my youngest sister sing with her madrigals group. They did some really fun songs. Brian also got to participate in the ward christmas program down there as well...he even already knew some of the songs. We went to our ward Christmas dinner, played lots of games, and hung out with family. We made graham cracker houses (I made a train) and kleinja cookies. We had a really nice Christmas eve program at my brother's house with singing and telling of the Christmas story. Christmas morning we all made the traditional mad rush down the stairs to see what Santa brought and then later got together with family to open the rest of the presents. Isaac was excited about opeing the first couple of presents, but then just wanted to play with them rather than see what else there was. I got lots of good scrapbooking stuff, a quilting frame my Dad made me, and some new maternity clothes. Brian's favorite gift was probably the Planet Earth DVDs my parents got him. It is a really cool program for those who haven't seen it.
Brian also got the chance to hang out with the boys a lot. They played frisbee golf almost every day, turned pens and bowls on the lathe, and even played a game of ultimate frisbee. Overall, it was just a ton of fun to be with family. We miss them already!
