One of Brian's patients owns a pig farm in bucks county and has invited us on several occasions to come and visit. We finally had the opportunity to make the trek out there yesterday. The fall colors are beautiful right now and we really enjoyed the drive. Also, this is no ordinary pig farm. I would have to classify it as the life of luxury for a pig. They don't raise pigs for food or breed them, but take in unwanted pigs and find homes for them. They also have some pigs that board there while their owners are on vacation or can't take care of them. The place the pigs stay has heated floors, a piggy spa, and gets cleaned 1-2 times a day. Isaac especially enjoyed the "baby" pigs and had fun chasing them around. The place itselft is really pretty interesting as well. Most of the buildings on the property were built between the 1600-1800s. The actual place the pigs stay was built by the Amish more recently. They have a general store and also sell anything you would ever need to take care of a pig at a discounted cost. Lastly they have a very cut little bed and breakfast they run. We were invited to come stay there, which we may just have to take advantage of! Anyway, it was a fun little side trip. I didn't know I could think pigs were so cute.
